He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Cox and Elizabeth Mae Cox (Patterson); his wife Cora (McCulloch); his siblings, Agnes Gould, Jean Lake, Minnie Burgess, Karen Brown, Donald, Edgar Jr., Marvin, Francis and Kenny; and his in-laws, Dennis Lake and Mickey Burgess.

He is survived by: his daughters, Jackie White (Emerson) of Kennetcook, NS and Sandra Cox (Barry Duncan); his grandchildren, Jenette White of Inuvik, NWT, Jennifer White of Kennetcook, NS and Justine Poirier (Don) of Calgary, AB; his great grandchildren, Logan White, Blake Kitchin, Joshua Poirier and Sophia Poirier; his siblings, Randy Cox (Valerie) and Penny Sanford (Jolson); and his siblings-in-law, Wilson Gould, Norma Cox and Sandra Cox. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
