He was predeceased by: his parents, George Russell and Vera Russell (Smart); his wife Roma; and his sister Emily Owen. He is survived by: his siblings, George, James "Jimmy", Cora Rhyndress, Karen Hughes and Nellie Watson; his son Jody; his grandsons, Austin, Lucas and Maxx; his niece Lisa; and his close friends, Wayne Greene and Steve White. He is also survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
