Alton Singer Obituary
Alton Blair Singer, Passed away at the age of 93 at Ivy Meadows Nursing Home, Beaverbank Road on March 30, 2024. Alton was born in lower Selma Hants County on March 17, 1931, and was the son of the late Lila Singer.
Alton is survived by his son Kevin (Heather) grandchildren Sarah, Amanda and Tim, Great grandchildren Nicolas, Jacob, Leelen and Twins Emmett and Emily and sister Eleanor.
Alton is predeceased by his partner Marion Myers, brother Paul, sisters Joyce and Jenny.
Alton worked as a carpenter in the local 83 carpenters and joiners' union most of his life. In his younger years he worked in logging camps around the Noel and Kennetcook area. Alton was on the Sackville Advisory Council. He loved camping, Bluegrass Music and old cars, especially Fords, always had his Ford belt on and his hat full of pins that he collected mostly given to him from other people seeing his hat of pins. Alton will be missed by his family and partners family who were close to him. He was a good and kind man God Bless his soul.
Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be held April 27 at 2 pm in the J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home, Hwy 354 Kennetcook and a private family burial in the Five Mile River Cemetery, Five Mile River, followed by a reception in the Little White Hall , 6936 Hwy 354, Noel Road.
