It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Hazel Irma (Holden) Ritchie of Jordan Falls, Nova Scotia, born in Shelburne, Nova Scotia, who passed away on December 13, 2020, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Simon Gibbons Holden and Blanche Holden (Pierce); her husband Charles Douglas "Doug" Ritchie; her siblings, Earl, Frank, Harold and Marion; and her granddaughter Jennifer Tanton.

She is survived by: her daughters, Louise Hallett (late Jack), Joyce Chevalier (Rodney Hall) and Rev. Nancy Ritchie; her grandsons, Gerald Tanton, Scott Tanton (Tara), Ian Dauphinee and Joel Dauphinee (Sheryl); her stepgrandchildren, Sherry Harris (Bill) and Alan Hallett (Wendy); her great grandchildren, Ben Tanton, Nate Tanton, David Tanton, Harper Tanton, Taylor, Lana, Logan and Chelsea Dauphinee; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Jordan, Jackie Harris, Jared and Taylor Hallett; and her sister Jean Clarke of Kingston, NS. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Because of COVID-19 there will be no visitation.
