He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Norma Harris and William Harris of Jordan Falls, NS.; his sons, Colin (Gillian) and Tyler (Denna); his grandchildren, Delana, Evan and Destiny; his stepgrandchildren, Alex and Gabriela Hemeon; his brothers, William "Billy" Harris (Sherri), Donald Harris and Beverly Nickerson; his close friend Sheila Doane; his stepchildren, Matthew Doane (Christine), Marina Simba (Benjamin) and Mark Doane (Lynsay); and his stepgrandchildren, Alexander, Elizabeth, Austin, Abigail and Lucas.

Committal will be held at the Anglican Cemetery, Jordan Branch Rd. In keeping with Covid-19 regulations seating will be given preference to family first and social distancing measures will be in place.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Burke's name may be made to the Anglican Cemetery, Jordan Branch Rd.
