He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Ernest and Catherine Anne Cannon (Campbell); and his father-in-law Charles Dobbin (Chuck). He is survived by: his wife Sheila Cannon (Dobbin); his children, Katie McDaniel (Callum), Julie (Colin Allen), Daniel (Keisha) and Kevin; his mother-in-law Mary Dobbin; and also, Coleen, Lauchie MacIsaac, Greg, Elizabeth Dobbin, Blaise, Michelle Dobbin, Patrick and Susan Dobbin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Central Inverness Palliative Care Society, St. Peter's Parish Cemetery Fund or the Port Hood & Area Resting Place. "and the Greatest of these is Love".....
