He was predeceased by: his parents, Dougald Kennedy of Inverness and Rose (MacArthur) of Inverness; and his brother Stephen. He is survived by: his pet Dougald (Marijke); his children, Stephanie, Rebecca, Peter (Erin) and Corrine (Mike Donnelly); his grandchildren, Chrissy (Ale) and Sean; his children, Gordie and Jan; his grandchildren, Gordon (Kerry), Ellen (John), Megan (Brett) and Steven; his daughter Norma; his granddaughter Verna; and his pet Guinness.

In Kevin's memory donations may be made to one of three charities that were close to his heart; MillRoad Social Enterprises, Central Inverness Palliative Care Society or the Inverness area group Citizens Caring for Animals.
