He was predeceased by: his parents, John James and Julia Poirier (LeBlanc); his stepmother Margaret Poirier (MacDonald); his brother Gerald MacDonald; and his aunts, Margaret Webb and Mary H. Chiasson.
He is survived by: his children, Ian (Belinda), Jessica of Inverness and Andrew; his siblings, Ann Poirier, Mary Camus, Joan Warren (David) of Edmonton, AB and Joey (Patricia); and his sister-in-law Mary Ann MacLellan of Fort McMurray, AB. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, grandnieces, nephews, cousins and his brother & sister.
