He was predeceased by: his parents, Danny Kennedy and Elizabeth Kennedy (Bennett); and his siblings, Mary, Marguerite, Patsy, Alex Neil and Hector.
He is survived by: his children, Donald (Nya), Joey (Mabou Harbour), Ashley (Phil), Randy (D'Moine) and Bradley (Langley B. C.); his wife Ethel; his grandchildren, Emma, Katie, Vada, Reid, Ashton, Chantal, Layla, Callie, Joey, Skye, Allie, Waylon, Kaleb, Ciara, Randy and Kaitlyn; and his siblings, Josephine, Jacqueline (John), Irene, Dianne, Ernest (Donelda), Donnie (Diana), Greg (Irene) and Angus. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
