He was predeceased by: his parents, John A. Chisholm and Marcella Chisholm (Mac Donald); his wife Frances Chisholm (Mac Donnell); his sons, Kenneth Chisholm and Alan Chisholm; and his siblings, Duncan, Alex, John, Sr., Coline and Mary Phil.

He is survived by: his sons, James Cormier-Chisholm (Laurie) of Annapolis Valley, NS and Marcel Chisholm (Corinne); his sister Anne Peralta (Dave) of Mineville, NS.; and his grandchildren, Emily, Ryan, Connor and Callum Chisholm (Marcel).
