He was predeceased by: his parents, Dan Allan and Margaret MacLeod; his sister Anita; and his grandparents, Sophie, Edward Sr. Landry, Viola and Martin Sampson.

He is survived by: his friends, Ronald Joseph Mac Donald of Long Point, Dave Hunt, John Angus MacIntyre and Frances MacDonald; his wife Rose; his children, Chris (Lisa), John (Heidi) of Alberta and Amanda St (Mike); and his siblings, Ruthie (Lewis), Mary (Wessie), Colleen (Graham), Allan (Lisa), Stanley (Angela), Linda, Nancy (Mike) and Pauline (Stephen).

Memorial Donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society of Nova Scotia, Central Inverness Palliative Care Society or Charity of Choice.
