John Richard Nolan Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Richard Nolan of Ingonish, Nova Scotia, born in Sydney, Nova Scotia, who passed away on February 20, 2023 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Johnnie Nolan; his siblings-in-law, Fred, Josie Samways, Jim and Anna Wilson; his son Kenneth; his siblings-in-law, Patricia Wilson and Lloyd Donovan; and his sister Violet Donovan.

He is survived by: his wife Sandra Nolan (Samways); his sons, Kevin (Mora) and Charles Nolan; his siblings, Karen Pupulin and Bobby Nolan (Ruth Anne); his siblings-in-law, Marlene Montgomery, Emmy Lou Wilson (Daniel MacIntyre) and Jamie Wilson; his nieces and nephews, Brian Donovan (Leah), Andre Pupulin (Carolyn), Daniel Nolan (Samantha), Mac Montgomery (Lindsay), Cole MacIntyre (Ashley), Brett MacIntyre, Morgan Montgomery (Thomas Pauls), Blair MacIntyre and Lindsay MacEachern; and his pets, Toby and Buster.

In lieu of flowers, in memorial donations can be made to St. John's Anglican Church Cemetery Fund, Ingonish, Highland Manor, Neil's Harbour, or a Cape Breton palliative care hospice association of choice.
