He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Smith and Doris Smith (Oakley); and his brother Butch. He is survived by: his wife Linda Sampson; his daughter Jennifer (Jason Roberts); and his siblings, Arthur (Ilean) of Hubbards, Birchy Head of Hubbards, Danny of Hubbards, Doug of Hubbards and Rose (James Blyth). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
