She was predeceased by: her husband George Elias Young; her son George Lawrence Young; her stepfather Reginald Graves; her mother Annie Mae Dauphinee; her stepfather Lawrence Dorey; and her stepsiblings, Richard Graves, Helen Young (Graves) and Gladys Craig (Graves).

She is survived by: her close friend Winnie Young; her children, Annamarie (Rene Gagne), Edward (Cookie Coolen), Richard (Cheryl Broome) and Darryl (Amanda Evans); her half-sister Lorraine; her grandchildren, Christian, Tiffany, Corey, Kyle, Luke, Mattie and Alicia; and her great grandchildren, Landon, Kayden, Lennie, Logan, Rowan, Zoey, Mila, Nash and Lauren. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Canada (alzheimer.ca), Cremation has taken place.
