He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis MacIntosh and Marion MacIntosh (MacKenzie); and his siblings, Betty Ramsey and Francis MacIntosh. He is survived by: his children, David MacIntosh, Michelle MacIntosh, Joseph MacIntosh and Johnny MacLean; his grandchildren, Danica, Ashton MacIntosh (Michelle) and Rachel Paschal (David); his great grandchild Carson Hemphill; and his siblings, Sandy MacIntosh (Marion) and Marilyn Cameron.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Vernon's life will be held when restrictions are lifted due the Covid 19 pandemic and will be announced at that time.
