Leona Doubleday Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Leona Doubleday of Herring Cove, Nova Scotia, born in Sambro, Nova Scotia, who passed away on January 21, 2022. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Lyle Hart and Alfreda Hart (Hart); her siblings, John, James, Harvey Hart, Theora Harnish, Una Weagle, Avadna Bookholt and Diana Harnish; and her grandson Brennan Richardson.

She is survived by: her husband Carl; her children, Patrick Doubleday (Elizabeth) and Carol Richardson (John); her grandchildren, Tyler Doubleday (Jen), Jennifer Doubleday (Kyle) and Hilary Richardson-Murphy (Justin); her great grandchild Theodore Doubleday; her pets, Boomer, Snuggles and Princess; and also Dakota. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Due to covid-19 restrictions, a funeral service and internment at St. James Anglican Church, Herring Cove will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Leona can be made to St. James Anglican Church, in Herring Cove.
