He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Blaikie and Lillian Olive Blaikie (Rushton); his brothers, Gordon, Gloud (Carol) and Brian (Heather); and his sister-in-law Roberta Blaikie.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia (Hogan); his children, Kathleen Hoskins (Alan), Martha Innocente (Michael) and Duncan Blaikie (Katy); his grandchildren, Giorgia, Wendy, Ryan, Arthur and William; his siblings, Richard, Brenda MacLeod and Linda Dowell (Harry); and his friend Gary. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends.
