He was predeceased by: his parents, Donat Poirier and Pierrette Poirier (Blanchard); his wife Anna (McNeil); and his siblings, Yves, Pierre, Yolande, Louise, Mariette and Jacqueline.
He is survived by: his children, Patty Walker (Ron), Monique Bennett (Woody), Diane Telegdi (Arnold) of Tampa, FL, Marc Poirier, Neil Poirier and Whitehorse; his grandchildren, Laura, Megan, Jessica, Mary, Mike, Rhiannon, Wil and Sam; his great grandchildren, Malcolm, Finn, Callaghan, Sophie, Hayden, Owen and Ronan; and his sisters, Georgine Ceelen and Michelle Poirier.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service (419 Albert St, Windsor, NS B0N2T0).
