With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Donald James McNeil of Hantsport, Nova Scotia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 27, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Malcolm McNeil and Lela McNeil (Starratt); his daughter Nancy Deal; his granddaughter Hayley Martin; and his siblings, Jack, Mickey, Anna Poirier and Mary Cashin.

He is survived by : his wife Louise McNeil (Allen); his children, Sherry Martin (Rob Caldwell), Christine (Gerald Hann), Amber MacDonald (Chris), Malcolm (Jennifer) and Happy Valley; his grandchildren, Amy Hunter, Sara Bezanson, Ryan Bezanson, Lindsay Innocent, Noah Hann, Cameron MacDonald, Lauren MacDonald, Jack and Oliver McNeil; and his great grandchildren, Jade, Becka, Ellie, Morgan, Maddie, Mataya, Elodie and Eben.

Visitation was held on Friday, July 5th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service (419 Albert St, Windsor, NS B0N2T0). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 6th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the DeMont Family Funeral Home Chapel (419 Albert St, Windsor, NS B0N2T0).
