He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Legge and Marcella Legge of Cartyville Newfoundland; his wife Nancy Baird; and his siblings, Trevor and Gladys.

He is survived by: his siblings, Elizabeth, Janet and Eric; his children, Julie Ann Dugie (Daniel), Daniel Gordon (Cindy) and William Donald (Mila); his grandchildren, Matthew, Brian, Anna, Robyn, Ellen, Thomas and Bob; and his great grandchild Everett.
