He was predeceased by: his parents, Ethel McAloney and Reginald LaViolette; and his siblings, Dennis, Donnie, Madeline, Geraldine and Marion "Ducky".
He is survived by: his wife Glenda; his daughters, Sherry, Laurie and Michelle (Thierry); his grandchildren, Tara-Lynn (Shane), Danielle (Alex), Jon-Ryan and Darcy; his great grandchildren, Isaac and Miles; and his siblings, Virginia (Jenny), Joanie and Gary (Flora). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the St. Mary's Basilica (5221 Spring Garden Rd, Halifax, NS B3J1Z3).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Alzheimer's Society or to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
