He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy Covin and Phoebe Covin. He is survived by: his daughter Catherine Covin; his grandson Kashston Covin; and his siblings, Judy Grimm (Darrell), Douglas Covin (Marlene), Mike (Connie) and Christopher Covin (Loraine). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations will be made Wayne's name to the Heart and Stroke foundation of Nova Scotia.
