He is survived by: his siblings, Jack (Mary), Joe (Evelyn), Allen (Marion), Linda (Joe), Sally (Tony), Paul (Ronelda) and Michael (Eleanor); his wife Mary; and his children, Shawn and Shelley (Sheldon). He is also survived by his many siblings, and a wide circle of friends and family.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Atlantic Funeral Homes (6552 Bayers Rd, Halifax, NS B3L2B3). A reception will be held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 2:15 PM to 2:45 PM at the Atlantic Funeral Home (6552 Bayers Rd, Halifax, NS B3L2B3).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in Walter's memory.
