He was predeceased by: his adoptive parent Leslie F. Power; his birth parents, Mary Ryter (DeRabbie) and Gerald Bennett; his father-in-law Fred Levy; and his border collie Ben.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara Power (Levy); his children, Shauna Power (Ryan Stevens) and Matthew Power (Amber); his mother-in-law Doris Levy (Faulkner); his brother Richard Power of London, ON; his siblings-in-law, Heather Levy and Don Levy; his grandchildren, Finn, Knox Stevens and Ivy Power; his half-siblings, Alice Squires (DeRabbie) of Ajax, ON, Debra Boudreau (Ryter) of Miramichi, NB, Jim DeRabbie, Brian Ryter, William Ryter (Cecil Hupman) of Summerville Centre, NS, Kevin Ryter and Dale Ryter (Alanna); and his stepparents, Les Ryter and Florence Bennett. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
