It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roy Forbes Harvie of Halifax, Nova Scotia, who passed away on December 15, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though his name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Roy Forbes leaves upon the hearts of his loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of his spirit and the richness of his legacy.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Harvie and Mary Harvie (Forbes); his wife Alice (Johnson); his former wife Marjorie (Patterson Watson); and his sister Pearl Landry Christo.
He is survived by: his children, Sylvia Musoke (Samm), Wilma Coates (Rick), Donna Chubb (Norm) and Frederick Harvie (Carolyn); and his siblings, Winnie Allum, Leola Prosser, Virgil Harvie and Wayne Harvie. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Grace Chapel (225 Ross St, Halifax, NS B3M3Z3).
