He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph McFarland and Inez McFarland; his son Bobby; and his sisters, Lucille MacDonald (Norm) and Jean Trainor (Tom).
He is survived by: his wife Honey Ward; his children, Heather MacFarland (Steve), Diana Ferguson (Scott), Carol Blackie (Brent) and Curt MacFarland (Twyla); his grandchildren, Kathryn Dougherty, Michael Dougherty, Adam Ferguson (Karoline), Eric Ferguson (Alessandra), Curtis Ferguson (Hillary), Sarah Jane Langille (Sean), Andrea Blackie (Mark) and Rachel Blackie (Couragyn); and his great grandchild Cecilia Honey Chretien. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
