He was predeceased by: his parent Captain Thomas; and his brother Randy Smith. He is survived by: his mother Gladys Smith of Heart's Delight; and his siblings, Yvonne Hippenstall (Gary) of Beaverbank, Rick Smith of Halifax, NS, Ron and Marion Sobey (Vance).
