He was predeceased by: his parents, Ambrose Burke and Elizabeth Burke; his wife Lorraine Burke (Romans); his sons, Stephen and Bernie; and his siblings, Mary Kervin, Margaret Clark, Catherine Giles, Myrtle Burke and Jerome Burke.

He is survived by: his children, David (Darlene) and Debbie Oickle (Wade); and his grandsons, Shawn (Dara) and Jason (Laura). He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
