With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Mary Evelyn (Van Tassell) Maddalena of Halifax, Nova Scotia, born in Boston, Massachusetts, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin Tassell and Eva Van Tassell (Melanson); her husband Gino; her son David; and her siblings, Charlie and Annie.
She is survived by: her sons, Michael (Kathy), Victor (Debbie) and Peter; and her grandchildren, Aeneas (Megan), Joseph (Lauren), Martha (Shane), Mary (Mark), Marcus (Brittany), Micah, Anthony (Brenna), Sophia (Alex), Lillian and Violet. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, kindly make a donation in her name to the Keshen Goodman Public Library, 330 Lacewood Drive as Evelyn was an avid book reader and frequent visitor to this library.
