It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Marlene Dawn Murphy of Halifax, Nova Scotia, born in Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia, who passed away on August 26, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Muriel Stevenson and Joseph Stevenson; and her sister-in-law Carmie (Doug). She is survived by: her husband Bill; her children, Tara MacDow (Rylan), Cheryl Gervais (Andrew) and Sean Murphy (Sue Ellen); her grandchildren, Logan, Jack, Maya, Liam, Hayley, Tyler, Marley, Norah and Ellie; her sister Anne (late Tom); and her parents-in-law, Anita MacFarlane (late Joe), Susan Gough (late Brian) and Doug Murphy (Gail). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

No flowers by request of the family. Donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
