She was predeceased by: her parents, Hubert Clinton Nickerson and Annie Bell (Bethune); her husband Walter Douglas; her siblings, Phyllis, Rhea, Doris, Mildred and Wilfred; and her son James Douglas.

She is survived by: her children, Marsha Zinck (Allan), Paul (Vikki), Andrew and Scott (Jennifer); her grandchildren, Emily, Luke (Zinck), Kathryn and Evelyn (Whittemore); and her brother-in-law George. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, Marion had asked for donations to be made to the Heart & Stroke Fund, Canadian Cancer Society, or St. Margaret's of Scotland Church (Robie St. Halifax).
