She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Leighton (Pauline Cora Miner Whitesides) and New Smyrna Beach; and her husband James. She is survived by: her children, Peggy S. Butler and Tracy Carpenter (Chad); her granddaughters, Amber Mitchell (Cody) and Taylor Carpenter; her great grandchildren, Rylan, Baylee, Aaliyah, Mason, Isaiah Mitchell and Sadie Sanford; her sister Barbara Gray; and her brother-in-law Eugene McCullough (Marty). She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
