He was predeceased by: his parents, James E Grove and Ruby Levick; his brothers, John and Gary; and his stepdaughter Gina.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, James (Carla), Cheryl Strowbridge (John), Cindy Doucette and Kenny (Sherry); and his stepchildren, Darren, Patricia, Dianne, Donna, Sharon, Wayne and Richard. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
