She was predeceased by: her parent Phyllis Clayton; her grandmother Hattie Clayton (Gibson); her uncle Kenneth Clayton; her aunts, Muriel Lorde and Jean Simms; her nephew Joseph Lorde; her godson Ryan Lorde; and her godfather Gordon Bowen.

She is survived by: her sisters, Carol Clayton, Alice Clayton and Juanita Clayton; her godson Christopher Bailey; and her sister Myra Bailey. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, several cousins, and many lifelong friends.
