She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Whitlock and Leona Whitlock; and her husband James Atlee Slayter of Dartmouth. She is survived by: her sons, William (Bill) and Don Slayter (Pam Jarrett); her grandchildren, Jessica O'Keefe, Nick Slayter, Jeremy Slayter, Tara Baum and Drew Slayter; her sister Linda Reid; and her niece Audra Hayden. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren and spending time with her family.
