He was predeceased by: his parent Amilene (Emily); and his brother Hubert MacDonald. He is survived by: his wife Edith MacDonald; his children, Robert MacDonald (Alison Lloy), Adrian MacDonald (Lyndsay MacKinnon) and Mya Doucette (Brandon Doucette); his grandchildren, Ben Laybolt, Lita MacDonald, Rowan MacDonald, Corvin MacDonald, Kain MacDonald, Xander MacDonald and Ivy Doucette; his sister Leona Campbell; his sister-in-law Dorothy MacDonald; and his nieces, Gail Imperatore (Marco Imperatore) and Dr Tamara MacDonald (Chris Beck).

Any memorial donations may go to the St. John the Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
