It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Anthony Sampson (Halifax, Nova Scotia), born in Louisdale, Nova Scotia, who passed away on July 29, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James "Jimmy" Godfrey and Ida Mae Sampson (Samson); his son Robert; his siblings, Tommy, Leonard, Melvina and Theresa; and his son-in-law Ron.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Mitchell; his children, Donna and Stephen (Kendrick); his daughter-in-law Eileen Brennan; his granddaughters, Erin (Justin) and Melissa (Mike); his great grandchildren, Cameron, Logan and Hannah; and his sister Zelia Aucoin (Ernie). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
