He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Barber and Emily Louisa Haynes (Eastwood); his wife Joan Ameila (Miller); and his family, Ed Haynes (Jean), Rose Scott (Les), Hank Haynes (Kay), Edna Jennings (Stan), George Haynes (Kay) and Douglas Haynes (June).

He is survived by: his children, Michael, Dennis (Cindy), Ann (Justin), Todd, Kensington and Peter Hong Kong (Sue); his grandchildren, Matt, Amanda New Zealand (Nan), Lauren (Adam), Lewis Lake, Elizabeth and Kong; his stepgrandchildren, Brittany (Chris), Jennifer (Nathan) and Tyler (Chloe); and also, Johnathan, Evelyn and Eleanor.
