She was predeceased by: her parents, Mervin Lemke and Jean Lemke (Dorward); her husband Angus; and her sister Heather Cope. She is survived by: her children, Wendy (Ken Gillespie) and Paul (Young Ae Cross); her grandchildren, Matthew, Leah and Fiona; and her sister Jean Game. She is also survived by her neighbours, family and close friends.

After several moves, her career expanded into specialized work with and Alzheimer's disease research and social work.
