He is survived by: his wife Irene (Jobe); his children, Susan Pirie (Mark Stein), Tim Spargo (Amanda), Nancy Smith (Ron) and Karen Belyea (Kevin); his grandchildren, Alexa, Liam Pirie, Lauren Spargo, Cameron, Nathan Smith, Holland, Hayley and Julia Belyea; and his siblings-in-law, Lois Spargo, Betty Butler, Judy Jobe and Terry Butler. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at the Atlantic Funeral Home (6552 Bayers Rd, Halifax, NS B3L2B3).
