She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Callaghan and Emma Callaghan (Elliot). She is survived by: her husband Hugh Macpherson; her daughter Catherine (Will Trower); and her grandsons, Colin, Tom and Andrew Trower of Montreal.

Donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Nova Scotia or the Bide-A-While animal shelter.
