Iona left this world on March 14, 2025 at the age of 89, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her husband Norman Miller; her parents, Eva Florence Dorey of Fox Point and Austin Dorey of Fox Point; and her siblings, Lester Acker of Dartmouth, Lloyd Acker of Oromocto, Bedford Dorey of Preston, Roy Dorey of Fox Point, Calvin Dorey of Martin's River, Hazel Murphy of Chester, Florence (Gerald Demone) of Simms Settlement and Vivian Acker of Fox Point.

She is survived by: her sister Greta Dorey Crouse of Fox Point. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
