He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Nickerson and Inez Nickerson (Turner); and his sister Linda Munroe (Ronald). He is survived by: his wife Elaine Nickerson (Roach); his children, Paula Voicu Romania (Daniel), Philip Nickerson (Kimberly), Joel Nickerson (Nicole), Anna Vasile (Viorel), Beth MacGillivray (Alan) and Faith Nickerson; his grandchildren, Joana, Joseph, Philip, Priscilla Voicu, Lucy, Edmund Nickerson, Olivia Nickerson, David and Maria Vasile; and his sisters, Ruth Weir, Ruby Sarty (Stephen) and Una Mae Roach. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
