We are sad to announce that on July 8, 2024, at the age of 87, Gladys Ruth Burke of Halifax, Nova Scotia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Gladys Ruth may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Sidney Coakley and Gladys Coakley (Pitcher); her husband Ronald Burke; and her daughter Nancy MacIntosh (John). She is survived by: her sons, Ronald (Suzanne) of Dartmouth, Paul (Kim) of Dartmouth and Daniel of Dartmouth; and her siblings, Sadie Umlah (Halifax), John Coakley (Elaine) and Rockingham. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren.
Donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of your choice.
