She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter "Howard" Bowser and Evangeline Mae Bowser (Fader); her former husband Ray Whalen; her husband John Baird; and her siblings, Margaret White, Norma Manuel and Garfield Bowser.

She is survived by: her sons, Shawn (Roberta), Scott (Janet) and Keith; her grandchildren, Amanda (Kyle), Douglas (Kariann), Jocelyn (Scott), David, Laura (Lance), Cole Harbour and Bradley (Emily) of Sooke, BC; and her siblings, Evelyn Whitters of Duncan, BC and Weldon Bowser. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren.
