With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Esther Winnifred Gilkie (Halifax, Nova Scotia), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her husband Charles A. Gilkie; her brothers, Albert, Maurice, Randel and Frankie; her children-in-law, Lillian "Boopsie" Gilkie and Ronald "Ronnie" Gray; and her brother-in-law Murray Richardson (James Lightle).
She is survived by: her children, Leah Oakley (Maurice), Lynn Gray (Ken), Wendy Gilkie and Timmy Gilkie; her siblings, Joyce Richardson, Evelyn Brown (Gordon) and Jimmy Gray (Gale); and her sisters-in-law, Eva Mae Gray, Lorraine Gray, Shirley Gray and Juanita Gray. She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren, as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
