He was predeceased by: his parents, Clayton Jacob of Clarke's Beach and Phyllis Katherine of Bay Roberts; his brothers, Ian and Paul; his parents-in-law, Lorraine and Woodie Sadler; and his pet Dolly.
He is survived by: his wife Joan; his children, Lynn (John Pottie) and Tim (Juzet); his grandsons, Jacob, Noah and Matthew; his sister Sharon Elliott (Andy); his niece Sarah; his nephew Christian; his sister-in-law Dawn Coveyduck; and his nieces, Susan and Karen (Paul Pittman). He is also survived by in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
He received an award for distinguished service from the Mount A Board of Regents in 1998 and the Charles Frederick Allison Award for outstanding contribution to Mount A by an alumnus / alumna in 2003.
