He was predeceased by: his father Chester Stewart; and his son Kevin. He is survived by: his mother Dorothy Stewart; his wife Marie; his children, Chester (Margaret), Brenda (Perry), Karen (Chris), Wanda (Geoff), Carol (Stephen) and Judy (Jeff); his grandchildren, William, Melissa, Sherlyn, Kayla, Corey, Kelsey, Matthew and Jessica; his sisters, Cathy Thorne (Gary) and Beverley Griswald (Tyler); and his granddaughters, Brenda, Karen, Wanda, Carol and Judy. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made in Chester's name to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, 109 Ilsey Avenue, Unit 1, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, B3B 1L5, or a charity of your choice.
