She was predeceased by: her grandparents, George, Rita James and Rosena Veniot; her nephew Brandon Beals; her grandchild Zephaniah Downey; and her close friend Elizabeth Black (Taga).

She is survived by: her parents, George James and Patsy James (Veniot); her boyfriend Michael; her children, Tyson, Nagel (Sheena) and Amy Downey; her siblings, Christine, Darell, Van, Michael (Virginia), Marcus (Shelly), Justin (Megan) and Christopher (Sarah); her grandchildren, Tyree, Ava, Shaylee, Lakia, Nakaya and Makai; her godchildren, Nigeba and Uriah Black; and her caregivers, Monika and Catlin. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
