He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Mason and Isabel Mason; his in-laws, Arthur and Alice Bahen; his sister Carol Angelini; and his sister-in-law Lynne Bahen.

He is survived by: his wife Maureen Ellen Mason; his children, Cynthia and Geoffrey; his daughter-in-law Catherine; his grandchildren, Caitlin (Garret), James and Gillian (Ceilidh); his great grandchild Claire; his brother Robert Mason (Diane); and his siblings-in-law, Joseph Angelini, Peter Bahen, Steven Bahen, Bryan Bahen (Barb), Terry Bahen (Joan), Paul Bahen, Katherine Thacker (Ron) and Patricia Bahen.
